TRADE BLOCK LAST UPDATED: 8/31/08
------------------------------------------------------------
PENDING TRADES:
JKilgore44, Cardinals: Seeks to trade a filler for a RB (or TE?).
------------------------------------------------------------
TRADES TO DATE:
JKilgore44, Cardinals: Trades Edgerrin James(92, HB) for Lance Briggs(95, ROLB).
badguy1985, Dolphins: Trades Jake Long(85, LT) and Matt Roth(80, DE) for Adewale Ogunleye(89, LE) and Chris Williams(79, LT).
DivineK1LLa, Jaguars: Trades G.Jones(91, F); M.Williams(91, RG); T.Pashos(87, RT); T.Gilbert(69, MLB) for J.McKie(82, FB);R.Garza(85, RG); J.Tait(85, RT); Brian Urlacher(98, MLB)
------------------------------------------------------------
TRADES I'M SEEKING:
I'm willing to trade-away ALMOST ANYONE, except Devin Hester and Brian Urlacher. I'm now currently only seeking one player position: an insanely talented tight end (in the 90's overall). Other player positions will be considered, but will be traded for far less.

Re: Bears Trading Block
I can't see anything working for Jake Long, you can make an offer if you like but you would have to give up so much more than you want to. How about Dominic Rhodes (83) for Matt Forte (80), though? Slight upgrade for you but I think Forte would be money in short yardage for me.

Re: Bears Trading Block
Well ya never know. If I were Miami, I'd trade Jake Long for a reliable player at almost ANY offensive position over him .
Hmm, you bring up a good point about Matt Forte. I'm looking at my offense and it looks like Forte is actually a trucking type, so I think I will keep him. I'm not hurting too bad at the quarterback position either, since Grossman does have a good arm (lousy accuracy, but good arm). Well, I'll leave my offer for a QB and HB on the table, but for now I'll dismiss them as priorities. I'd still love to get an 85'ish LG or LT though.

Re: Bears Trading Block
I would give up Lilja (90), but the only guy I would really want is Urlacher, whom I know you really don't wanna get rid of. I would do Lilja (90) and Brackett (91) for him though, but thats about it.
Actually I would do one of these 3 trades:
Lilja (90) + Brackett (91) For Metcalf (78 + Urlacher (98
Lilja (90) + Brock (82) For Metcalf (78 + Harris (96)
Or maybe if you wanna get crazy, something bigger:
LG Lilja (90) + HB Ronnie Brown (92) + DT Johnson (86) + CB Jackson (87) + ROLB Keiaho (87) For LG Metcalf (78 + Forte (80) + DT Harris (96) + CB Vasher (91) + ROLB Briggs (95)

AND if you accept both of those you get Dominic Rhodes 83 (OVR HB) for Garret Wolfe (72 OVR HB)

Re: Bears Trading Block
I've got a good one for you:
Devin Hester and Cedric Benson
for
Edgerrin James (92) and a filler.
Gives you the power running game you're looking for and gives me the right key for my offense.

Re: Bears Trading Block
Alright, I will do this one. The other trade (and the bonus) sound promising, but I'll pass that up. I'm just happy to be getting Jake Long .badguy1985 wrote:Chris Williams and Adewale Ogunleye for Jake Long and Matt Roth (80 OVR DE)

Oh man that sounds REALLY tempting, but no no I absolutely can't trade Devin Hester. He's my pride and joy . I'd be willing to part with Benson though and almost anyone else except Urlacher. Anyone you want on defense, like Charles Tillman (91, CB), Nathan Vasher (91, CB), Tommie Harris (96, DT), or Lance Briggs (95, ROLB) as a substitute for Hester?

Re: Bears Trading Block
For just Edgerrin James? Works for me. Trade sent.
Edit: Let me know if you also want Benson for a filler. If so, let me know who the filler is.

Re: Bears Trading Block
Oh you know what, I forgot the Bears no longer have Benson (in real-life too I mean, sorry). Would you like Kevin Jones, Wolfe, or Adrian Peterson (the BEARS Adrian Peterson, not the Vikings one) instead?

Re: Bears Trading Block
Yea the Cardinals suck at the TE position . Well, even though he's second string, his overall pretty much makes him a starter and since I like to use my TE's a lot, I must decline. I guess this all depends who your filler is though. I was thinking you just needed a RB to replace Edgerrin James, hence my RB offers.

Re: Bears Trading Block
I really need a TE pretty bad. I can slide you Gerald Hayes (86). He's a LB and would fill the position Briggs left fairly well, and making it an even trade overall.

Re: Bears Trading Block
I'm looking at my offense in practice and unfortunately, I use singleback formation so much that I can't let go of one of my TE's, sorry.
The only way I could possibly see giving up one of my TE's (Clark '86' or Olsen '85') is if it involves a trade with one of your high overall WR's (L. Fitzgerald or A. Boldin.... unless you already traded them). Of course it would be a TE plus something else for one of the WR's. You'd have to tell me what else you would need other than a TE though to make the trade sound good. Do you still need a DE? If so, I have Alex Brown (85, RE). I don't have any solid LB's other than Urlacher, and I gave up Lance Briggs for a RB (sorry).
Edit: If we do that trade, I'd like your 3rd string TE, Ben Patrick (73) as a filler for losing one of my TE's.

Re: Bears Trading Block
Hmm, I guess the performance from my recently acquired HB, FB, and solid o-line isn't going as well as I had hoped. In their first game together against the Rams, Edgerrin James fumbled in yellow status, my new Jags FB fumbled on his first run (in green status, of course), and I'm still having trouble protecting my QB to do playaction. Maybe shifting my o-line back on playaction would be better.

Re: Bears Trading Block
Hell, if he's fumbling a lot, I'll trade you Cadillac Williams for him, I wouldn't mind working something out to get Edge back.

Re: Bears Trading Block
I'll stick with him (and the FB) for now. I'll admit my first game with him wasn't pretty, but just in case, I think I'd better give them both more time to see what happens. I'll consider your deal though for the future.
