Re: Indianapolis Colts Schedule
Week 12 Matchup: Indianapolis Colts vs. San Diego Chargers
The game started off with the Chargers marching right down the field establishing the running game with the league's best back LaDanian Tomlinson. Then, of course thinking its gonna be a run, the Colts expecting it to go right to LT bit on the PA with a run commit and got burnt for a TD pass to Vincent Jackson.
PA Pass To Jackson: http://www.easportsworld.com/en_US/video/298888
A little deflated, the Indianapolis Offense came out onto the field already in a 7-0 hole. Choosing a Singleback HB Dive figuring to gain a few yards on 1st down newly aquired HB Ronnie Brown found the hole thanks to amazing blocking and went 77 yards for the TD.
Ronnie Brown's TD Run: http://www.easportsworld.com/en_US/video/309159
After driving down the field with ease again, Rivers through a crucial interception in the red-zone to little known CB Dante Hughes.
Moving down the field with the run, a sack on a 2nd down PA put them in a 3rd and long situation. Another sack on 3rd down, along with a Indianapolis recovered fumble led to a punt on 4th and 24.
After finally establishing some defense, the Colts forced a punt. For some reason, the Colts coach was not able to get the play in on time, so having a 4-3 defense out there led to Marlin Jackson attempting to return the punt. Marlin, definitely not what you would call a veteran punt returner, didn't know how to call a fair catch signal and got smashed right as he caught the ball leading to a fumble being picked up and returned for a TD by the Chargers.
Again a deflated Colts offense comes out onto the field. Marching down the field completely on Ronnie Brown and Joe Addai's backs, a TD pass to Dallas Clark up the seam tied the game at 14-14 with 26 seconds left in the half, which would be the score at the half.
Coming out of halftime, the Colts again looked to the ground game to move them down the field. After being forced into a 3rd and 6 at the 50 Petyon had to come out and do something. Sensing a zone, Manning called his usual pre-snap audibles and hit Clark, who got smashed but still held onto it, on a deep post for the 1st down. Despite Peyton's wishes, the coach called in the field goal unit on 4th and Inches from about the 10 yard line allowing them to take the lead, 17-14.
After the Colts Defense allowed the Chargers to move down the field yet again, they stepped up to stop a 3rd down and 10 run, to allow a 41 yard FG for the Chargers to tie up the game at 17 a piece.
After stalling on offense, the Colts punted and gave the Chargers great field position. This led to LT being LT and racing for a 65 yard TD.

Petyon, sensing he need to take over the game, drove down the field connecting on a crucial 4th down conversion and tied up the game with a strike to Clark for his second TD.
Leaving the game up to his Defense with a little overt a minute left, on what looked like a sure sack or throwaway, Rivers connected with Jackson. But, the defense, sensing Petyon pacing back and forth on the sideline for another intentional grounding penalty on Rivers to force them to punt.
29 seconds left. This was Petyons time. After a few incomplete passes, someone came up big for the Colts offense... Quentin Jammer committed a pass interference on what looked like an overthrown ball to Reggie Wayne. Only 11 seconds left and a good 10 yards needed to get into Field Goal range, who was Peyton going to trust to get those yards? Reading the defense, Peyton hot-routed Clark to a streak (the same route he caught both his TDs on). Throwing deep, Clark, covered with a zone by Jammer, came down with the clutch catch and quickly called a time out with 2 seconds left in regulation.

Clutch kicker Adam Vinatieri came in and knocked the easy 33 yard Field Goal for the win allowing the Colts to start the season 1-0. Great game. Final Score 27-24 Indianapolis Colts Win!

Re: Indianapolis Colts Schedule
Well Hester's not on defense and besides, you'd have to give me your entire team just to get him =D.
I'd actually consider trading big for Peyton, but instead of trading defensive starters, I'd trade offensive starters (with the exception of Hester). I play better on defense than I do offense, but I could make do with sucky offensive starters if I had a reliable quarterback .
Edit: Oh wait, the Bears already have sucky offensive starters. My mistake.

Re: Indianapolis Colts Schedule
Lol oh good, now I don't feel so bad at my performance . I thought I had lost my mind . Alright, seriously, what defense do you run? You told me you dont do man but I played you and you were doing some kind of like man + underneath zone + flats. Your defenders always knew exactly where to be to make a pick and if they were in the wrong spot, they'd accidentally be in the right spot anyways! You'd also always get consistent pressure, stopping my playaction.SD Phillip Rivers.... 90.3 rating....133 yards....1 TD....1 INT....6-11 passing
MIN Tarvaris Jackson....2.5 Rating....89 Yards....0 TD....6 INT....9-28 Passing
CHI Rex Grossman....5.6 Rating....84 Yards....0 TDs....9 INTs....11-30 Passing
GB Aaron Rodgers....22.0 Rating....151 Yards....0 TDs....5 INTs....16-33 Passing
CLE Derek Anderson....22.0 Rating....143 Yards....1 TDs....3 INTs....8-21 Passing....1 Rush TD
CIN Carson Palmer....91.9 Rating....192 Yards....2 TDs....2 INTs....21-25 Passing
BAL Troy Smith....34.1 Rating....227 Yards....1 TD....5 INTs....19-40 Passing
JAX David Garrard....51.6 Rating....155 Yards....1 TD....4 INTs....15-25 Passing
One play your defender (the short guy) even manned up on my HB.... who was initially a blocker! He was just standing right in front of him. Most defenders stand behind receivers. This includes curl routes, but your guys would always stand in front of receivers on those too.
I'm not on your schedule anymore, so tell me your secret. You can PM me . I actually wish I was on your schedule again cause my new HB (Edgerrin James), my Jags FB, and my improved o-line would smoke you . You can't intercept a running play! (Unless I fumble again on the very first play)

Re: Indianapolis Colts Schedule
Yea I edited that part because yea I guess I did suck. I do feel better though that others sucked almost as equally as I did . Still though, if I hadn't fumbled the very first running play of the game, that may have put me in a better mood to run the ball .

Re: Indianapolis Colts Schedule
Shit, the Bengals guy smoked me passing. I got 2 picks, but look at his completion percentage. I play Man and Zone, and as for the pressure, I was rushing the outside with Mathis because I know the PA was coming. Your dead if you PA with a strong outside rush. I'm missing the Pitt game stats because that guy had to go at the end of the 3rd quarter. I think I had 3-4 INTs on him too.

i couldnt even use Chad Johnson much cuz of bob sanders and that shutdown CB covering him....so i had to look out for my other recievers....but hey, i cant really get mad, cuz they did a good job regardless....
Re: Indianapolis Colts Schedule
When or if we do another league Riddick, I'm going to try signing up in whatever division you're in. You may think I'm a n00b with my 9 picks, but I'm a MAN, I'm forty! My record was like 50-20 something in Madden 08 (no cheating). People couldn't touch me. I'm a beast. Just look at what I did to my Panthers opponent. I made him regret joining this league. I'm going to make your next season a living hell .
The only reason you beat me was cause my HB fumbled the very first play . Seriously, what's up with that? He wasn't even tackled hard. He went straight up the middle. Didn't stiff arm, spin.... nothing fancy.

Re: Indianapolis Colts Schedule
At his rate, he's looking at the SuperBowl as long as he can get passed the Chargers. If I remember correctly, the difference was only a field goal.. but damn, every time I update the standings he has another win under his belt and no matter how he wins.. he still finds a way to beat his opponent.....fucker.
